So far I have only seen one negative comment on the idea to rename Prestwick airport... which out of the hundreds of names on the petition and those on the facebook group is quite insignificant! Somehow we have to get this idea promoted some more; 356 signatures since the 7th December 2009 is a good start, but it is ONLY a start!

I'll try to find some of the previous Petitions and those who signed. Politicians for a start. Radio and newspapers are staying well clear but a wee shove in the right place might work.

The campaign has had a great reponse on Facebook and with the help of Bruce Philip, RT Burns Club, Colin Shearer, Alex Christie and loads of others. We've been in the local papers, on the local radio and on YouTube. Thanks to all concerned so far. 5,400 likers so far

When arriving in Scotland at Prestwick airport in Ayrshire what would you expect to see? A bit of tweed carpet and some pictures of Rabbie Burns, William Wallace, Robert Bruce, Kirkpatick MacMillans' Bike perhaps, or a sign which tells you you're in Glasgow Prestwick. A new welcome which looks as though someone has splattered grafitti on it, including the words from a Scottish 80's TV programme set in Glasgow - "Pure dead Brilliant". Found this in the David Henderson Gallery: www.pbase.com/dubaidavid/image/59235706It's from 2006. Please tell me things have changed.
