The A76 trunk road is more or less the spine of the Burns Corridor Network and there are so many towns and villages on and near it worth visiting. Sanquhar has always been one of my favourites and now it has "A' The Airts" which includes a music/film theatre, café, arts&crafts studio, sewing room. Sanquhar is well worth a stop-off when you're passing through. www.all-the-airts.com/ A’ the Airts (All the ways) opened in November 2010 8-12 High Street, Sanquhar (A76), Dumfriesshire. Promoting arts and crafts in the Upper Nithsdale area. The centre is now open seven days per week. Sweet Afton Water Acoustic - SAW Acoustic Music (previously Glenafton Folk) LIVE on the last SAM (Sunday Afternoon of the Month) at the 1888, Town Hall, Castle, New Cumnock, Ayrshire. Born on the 30th of August 2015. m.facebook.com/SAW-Acoustic-MusicSAWA - (pronounced SAW WAY as in to Saway - sway) was created in 2015 for the soul reason of giving people in the area the opportunity to listen to some of the best unplugged music right here. so far we've had musicians from Scotland, England, Wales, South Africa and America. We also want to give hidden musicians the chance to meet the professionals and perhaps take to the open floor and show off their talents. there are singers, songwriters, guitarists, etc. out there who just need to take the first step. Arrive as guests, leave as friends. just like Sabrina, Erin & Pauline did.
