On 20th November 2010, the community arts and crafts centre "A the Airts" opened its doors for the first time. 8-12 High Street, Sanquhar, Dumfriesshire. Sitting on the A76 Kilmarnock to Dumfries road and only about 300 yards from the (Glasgow to Carlisle line) railway station, it's perfect. A' The Airts, 8-12 High Street, Sanquhar, Dumfriesshire. Knockengorroch Farm, Castle Douglas, Carsphairn, Kirkubrightshire, DG7 3TJ Thu 31st May to Sun 3rd June 2012
[Knockengorroch Festivals were born from a love of roots music, and created with the express aim of rural regeneration in the Uplands of Scotland. Bringing first class World Music Acts to a beautiful and undiscovered upland corner of Scotland, seemed an excellent and relevant way to further this aim. Knockengorroch supports and creates local business and enterprise, and brings extra visitors to a relatively unexplored region of Scotland, the 'Hidden Gem'. If lots of people were to have a great time in the process - well so be it!] http://www.festivalsforall.com/festival/knockengorroch-world-ceilidh-2012

For live entertainment take a look at A' The Airts in Sanquhar: www.all-the-airts.com/whatson.htmlThoroughly enjoyed an evening listening to the debut of LOS PERROS as a 4 piece bandin New Cumnock, Ayrshire. The band spent a couple of years playing as an accoustic duo but have grown and gone electric. The lads kindly donated their time and talent at a fundraiser for New Cumnock Community Open Air Pool on 11th Sept. WELL DONE LADS!!!! www.facebook.com/losperrosuk
